Storyfiers Academy – Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your purchase of and participation in Storyfiers Academy (“the Academy”), operated by Storyfiers Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By purchasing any Storyfiers Academy offering, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree, you must not proceed with your purchase.
1. Eligibility & Intended Audience
Storyfiers Academy is designed for mature learners.
- The Academy is intended for individuals aged 21 years and over.
- By purchasing, you confirm that you have the maturity, capacity, and judgement required to engage with the material responsibly.
- We do not knowingly provide services to individuals under 21. Any access gained in breach of this requirement is at the user’s own risk.
2. Scope of Services & Service Tiers
Storyfiers Academy offers multiple service tiers. All tiers are governed by these Terms, with certain sections applying only where the relevant tier is purchased.
Tier 1 – Digital Course
- Pre-recorded educational content delivered online
- Self-paced learning
- Access provided for six (6) months from the date of purchase
Tier 2 – Digital Course + 1:1 Online Coaching
- Includes full access to the digital course
- Includes a limited number of one-to-one online coaching sessions
- Coaching sessions are:
- Educational and supportive in nature
- Intended to discuss progress, challenges, and questions
- Not assessments, approvals, or supervision of public actions
- Coaching does not constitute therapy, counselling, legal advice, PR management, or crisis support
Tier 3 – In-Person, 1:1 Delivery
- Includes full access to the digital course
- The Academy is delivered entirely in person, one-to-one
- Delivered over an agreed intensive period
- Pricing is bespoke and agreed in writing
- Travel and associated costs are bundled into the agreed price
- Delivery is subject to availability and scheduling agreement
3. Access & Availability
- Access to the digital course is granted immediately upon purchase.
- Digital access expires automatically after six (6) months.
- We reserve the right to update, modify, add to, or remove content at any time.
- Access periods, formats, or delivery structures may change for future cohorts but will not apply retroactively.
4. Pricing, VAT & Payments
- All advertised prices are fixed and inclusive of VAT, where applicable.
- Prices are displayed in GBP unless otherwise stated.
- Prices may change at any time but will not apply to purchases already completed.
- We do not offer price matching or price protection.
- No refunds or credits will be issued if pricing changes after purchase.
5. Discounts & Promotional Offers
- Discounts and promotional offers are discretionary, time-limited, and subject to withdrawal at any time.
- Discounts apply only to Tier 1 and Tier 2 services unless explicitly stated.
- Tier 3 is excluded from all promotions and discount codes.
- Discounts cannot be applied retroactively or combined unless stated otherwise.
6. Refund Policy
Tier 1 – Digital Course
- A 14-day refund window applies from the date of purchase.
- Refunds are intended to allow users to assess suitability, not to consume the course in full.
- Refunds will not be granted if:
- A substantial portion of the course has been accessed
- The course has been completed
- Materials have been downloaded, copied, or retained
- Platform usage data may be used to assess eligibility.
- Refunds are issued at our discretion where misuse of this policy is identified.
Tier 2 – Digital Course + 1:1 Online Coaching
- The 14-day refund window applies only before any online session has taken place.
- Once a 1:1 session has occurred:
- The coaching component is strictly non-refundable
- Any refund, if granted, may apply only to the unused digital portion and is discretionary.
Tier 3 – In-Person Delivery
- All Tier 3 purchases are strictly non-refundable.
- This is a bespoke, scheduled service involving reserved time and preparation.
- Terms agreed in writing for Tier 3 take precedence where applicable.
7. Intellectual Property
All content provided as part of Storyfiers Academy is the intellectual property of Storyfiers Ltd.
You may not:
- Share, reproduce, distribute, sell, or licence any content
- Record or screen-capture course materials
- Use content for commercial or training purposes
Access is granted for personal, non-commercial use only.
8. User Content & Responsibility
Certain exercises encourage public expression, including the creation of potentially controversial content.
- You are solely responsible for all content you create, publish, or share.
- We do not review, approve, endorse, or supervise user-generated content.
- You must ensure that all content you create:
- Is lawful
- Is not hateful, defamatory, or abusive
- Does not pose a safety risk to yourself or others
Storyfiers Ltd and Storyfiers Academy is not responsible for any outcomes, consequences, or third-party reactions arising from your actions.
9. Submission of Work & Testimonials
- You may be invited to submit completed work or videos.
- Submissions are voluntary and used for:
- Internal learning insight
- Progress tracking
- Identifying potential testimonials
- Submission does not constitute approval or endorsement.
- Testimonials will only be used with explicit consent.
- Declining to provide a testimonial has no impact on access or service.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Storyfiers Academy provides educational content only
- We do not guarantee outcomes, results, income, confidence, or professional success
- We are not liable for:
- Legal, professional, reputational, or financial consequences
- Emotional distress or online backlash
- Platform bans or third-party actions
You remain fully responsible for how you apply the material.
11. Termination of Access
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access, without refund, if:
- These Terms are breached
- Content is misused or shared
- Behaviour is unlawful, abusive, or harmful
12. Force Majeure (Tier 3)
We are not liable for delays or non-performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to illness, travel disruption, political instability, or natural events.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
